About:
Fairdoc is on a mission to help patients fight back against inflated or inaccurate medical bills. We’re looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Patient Advocate to support users through the dispute process. This role sits at the frontlines of healthcare billing reform, combining direct patient communication with behind-the-scenes case coordination. You'll help patients understand their medical bills, identify discrepancies, and pursue fair resolutions with confidence.
Experience:
Guide patients through the dispute process for inaccurate or inflated medical bills
Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and compare billed rates to insurer-negotiated rates using Fairdoc’s internal tools
Communicate directly with patients to gather documentation and understand their billing concerns
Liaise with providers, insurers, and hospital billing departments to resolve disputes
Document each case thoroughly in internal systems to ensure compliance and clarity
Stay up to date with patient protection laws (e.g. No Surprises Act, Transparency in Coverage Rule)
Contribute insights to help improve and scale Fairdoc’s internal advocacy workflow
